A fresh look with even better content
CRN has been given a makeover and is giving you even more content in print, online and on CRNTV
Newspapers and magazines, like companies, are organic; they change, adapt and alter to reflect their market.
Over the past several months CRN has been working on fine-tuning its overall design, to enhance its business-class look and feel, while still providing the most relevant, exclusive channel news, views and analysis. We will be using more info graphics to give you the maximum information in each article, increase story sizes where relevant and provide links to related articles online.
Also, this week CRN is launching four new editorial pages, which will run on a monthly cycle:
- Once a month, CRN will feature a highlight of the best from channelweb.co.uk. CRN is consistently first with breaking news online, so we will inform you of our most-read stories, our online services and poll results, update you on who has appeared on CRN TV and include exerts from our new secret blogger, Channel Informer. See page 19 for more.
- Channel players are becoming increasingly involved in the high-end and pro-sumer gaming sector. Next week, CRN will include a news page dedicated to the business of gaming. It will examine the battle to win mind and market share by the chip giants and graphics card vendors. It will also examine the gaming retail sector.
- Week three will see CRN provide the very latest updates on green computing; not just the legislation affecting the channel, but also on what channel players are doing to help play their part in green IT. We will also examine how VARs can make margin through environmentally-friendly IT.
- There are now very few channel companies who operate solely in the UK. To reflect this, CRN will provide a once-a-month view from around the European channel. We will give you an insight into trends in other countries, as well an update on what European counterparts and peers are up to.
As always, I’d welcome any thoughts, comments or feedback on any of the changes – please email me at the address below.
