Azlan and SectorSix target UC supremacy
Distributor aims to be Europe's top UC specialist after bagging exclusive rights to software developer's portfolio
Crossing borders: Azlan and SectorSix have signed an exclusive deal covering all of EMEA
Developer SectorSix has signed up Azlan to distribute its Cisco-based IP communications software across Europe.
SectorSix's SixServer offering aims to allow users of Cisco's Call Manager and Unified Communications (UC) Manager to add new operational features. Azlan will exclusively offer the product to Cisco VARs throughout EMEA with prices for end users starting at $5,995 (£3,640) for a 50-user system.
VoIPTrainer is a training delivery platform developed by SectorSix for Cisco's IP telephony suite. Customers can use the platform to take advantage of training modules covering Cisco's entire IP handset line-up.
These modules can be accessed via a PC or on the handset's display and SectorSix claims they can be used in addition to or instead of training delivered on location. End users can use the system for the duration of the software licence and customer pricing begins at $1,495 for a 50-user system.
Dave Smith, SectorSix's chief marketing officer said: “Azlan has proved itself a leader in developing UC expertise into the channel. This partnership will enable SectorSix to extend our solution offering to Azlan’s broad base of specialist VARs throughout Europe and help a wide range of businesses get the most out of their Cisco UC installation."
Azlan indicated that it aspires to be Europe's top UC distributor and claimed the SectorSix deal builds on its Advance With Azlan programme for VARs. The programme aims to help resellers develop a Cisco UC or security business practice.
Last year the programme was bolstered by the addition of Go!Voice, a scheme to help VARs increase sales of tailored mid-market and enterprise UC kit. Sean Kendrick, marketing director at Azlan Europe, claimed UC adoption remained solid, even in the current climate.
"Growth in this area remains intact, as businesses work to improve their productivity today and get ready for the turnaround as the economy picks up again," he added.
"As such, broadening our vendor portfolio to include leading UC application solutions, such as those offered by SectorSix, provides our resellers with additional opportunities.”
