Comstor celebrates Cisco success
Distributor's whole external and internal sales team pass Cisco's datacentre sales exams in one go
Comstor has achieved Cisco Datacentre Storage Networking Sales Specialist status
Distributor Comstor has added to its certification tally after revealing that is sales team has achieved Cisco Datacentre Storage Networking Sales Specialist status.
The entire UK internal and external sales teams have passed Cisco’s Datacentre Networking Solution Sales exams, which test a candidate’s knowledge of the skills needed to sell a Cisco datacentre to customers. This includes DC Networking Infrastructure, Applications Services, Storage and Unified Computing (UCS).
Tony Nevill, general manager at Comstor UK, praised the sales team.
“This has been a real success for us and shows our commitment to our readiness for selling Cisco UCS solutions,” he said. “Our sales teams have really embraced the initiative with many of them revising at lunchtimes and in the evening to ensure they passed the exam.”
Bernadette Wightman, managing director for UK & Ireland channels at Cisco, said: “Comstor has always had an experienced sales team focused on selling Cisco solutions. This recent announcement will further enable them to promote and explain the Cisco Datacentre Networking business benefits to customers. It also helps us to continue to capitalise on the market opportunity that UCS infrastructure represents.”
Jon Pickering, managing director of VAR Block Solutions, welcomed the accreditation.
“We have made significant investments in building a datacentre practice in order to address a significant opportunity within our customer base,” he said. “It is great to know that Comstor is also gearing up and building knowledge across its sales and technical teams, which will ultimately lead to better bid support for us.”
