Equanet retains Cisco Silver badge

DSGi subsidiary celebrates passing networking giant's accreditation process

Silver platter: Equanet had to display a range of skills to achieve certification

After completing a rigorous accreditation process, VAR Equanet has expressed its delight at retaining Cisco Silver partner status.

The DSGi-owned reseller was required to achieve two of four advanced specialisations in unified communications, routing and switching, security and wireless LAN. Alternatively, Equanet could have opted for one of the latter three in addition to the Cisco Express Unified Communications Specialisation.

The Bury-based VAR was also required to integrate Cisco Lifecycle Services into its offering. Providing independently audited customer satisfaction references was also a key part of attaining the Cisco Silver thumbs-up.

Equanet's brand manager Mark Hotter said: "We are delighted to have retained the Silver Certification from Cisco. This further strengthens our position as a leading provider of IT products and service solutions and demonstrates our commitment to delivering the very best to our customers.”

Cisco's senior director of worldwide channels Surinder Brar added: “Cisco is committed to providing tools, training and programmes to help drive partner growth, differentiation and profitability. With specialisations in eProcurement systems and bespoke IT services and support, Equanet has made an investment in delivering the integrated and customised technology solutions today’s customers demand.”
