CybaVerse raises £5m to expand team and develop platform
This marks the company’s second funding round in the last 12 months
CybaVerse has raised £5m in a Series A funding round to expand its team and support the development of its proprietary platform, CybaOps.
CybaOps is an all-in-one cybersecurity management platform that combines detection, compliance, security, and testing into one SaaS product for the firm’s customers.
The round was co-led by Pembroke VCT and Airbridge Equity Partners, with participation from Haatch, with legal support from boutique firm Culbert Ellis.
Over the last year, CybaVerse has reportedly increased revenue by 180 per cent and retained 90 per cent of its customers.
“This funding marks an exciting new chapter for CybaVerse,” said CEO Oliver Spence.
“Having such a high calibre of investors onboard validates our vision to design and deliver innovative solutions that empower MSPs and SMEs.
“With this investment, we will accelerate CybaOps development, enhance AI-driven features, and expand our team to bring smarter, more scalable security to MSPs and SMEs, all while staying true to our mission of simplifying cybersecurity for everyone”
Robin Rensen, partner at Airbridge Equity Partners, added : “[Spence], [Blake], and the team have built a product-first company that combines deep technical expertise with a sharp understanding of customer pain points.
“The result is a very robust company protecting many companies directly, and well prepared to increasingly do so via channel partners.
“We look forward to supporting the team as they scale their mission of making robust cyber security accessible to all businesses.”
The Series A funding follows a £1.1m raise in October 2024, which aimed to support team expansion and boost the development of the organisation’s other platform, CybaVerse AI.
In June this year, the solution provider also acquired automation platform SecureAck, after collaborating with the company for about two years, Spence told CRN in an interview.
Founded in 2018, the Portsmouth-based company now counts nearly 40 employees and an expanding customer base made up of SMBs and MSPs.
