Pulsant fuels expansion plans with five-year refinancing completion
The refinancing brings the company’s debt facilities to £187m and adds four new lenders
Pulsant has completed refinancing and an extension of its debt facilities to £187m as it aims to double down on acquisitions and develop its datacentre portfolio.
The debt facilities expansion has reportedly also added four new lenders.
The company can draw down an accordion in the future should further debt capacity be required.
This will allow Pulsant to further develop across the UK, not only through further acquisitions, but also by expanding its existing portfolio of 14 sovereign datacentres, as well as its network and hybrid cloud capabilities via the Pulsant platformEDGE offering.
"We are very pleased to be working with some fantastic lenders who are supporting our strategic goal of creating the UK’s leading Edge platform," said Brad Petzer, CFO at Pulsant.
“The deal was designed to help more businesses in the Midlands and Southwest to benefit from Pulsant’s unique network of datacentres and platformEDGE and to help them reach new markets.”
This move comes a few months after the company acquired two datacentres in Birmingham and Fareham from SCC.
The purchase aimed to expand Pulsant’s presence to areas “that have traditionally been underserved in terms of digital infrastructure” in the UK.
The company has made various transactions in its datacentre infrastructures over the past couple years.
In March, it upgraded its SE3 datacentre network in Reading.
Over the last two years, Pulsant has reportedly spent £9m to improve the capabilities of its Manchester datacentre.
It has also strengthened its presence across the country in recent months thanks to new and consolidated partnerships.
In May, it launched its Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offering Partner Cloud to help its 140 collaborators diversify their portfolio, cloud reach, and boost service offerings, the company’s director of partnerships and ecosystems, Wendy Shearer, told CRN at the time.
In June, it joined forces with Southampton-based MSP Nine23 to deliver solutions on a UK sovereign and compliant stack across the physical datacentre and infrastructure.
