Dublin-HQ MSSP Ekco has acquired Datalogix as it looks to strengthen its operation technology (OT) capabilities across the UK, Ireland and the US.

Launched in 2005, Datalogix provides secure OT infrastructure design, implementation, and support services for companies in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, general manufacturing and critical national infrastructure (CNI) sectors.

It has operations spanning Ireland, the UK and the US.

Following completion of the deal, the firm will become part of Ekco’s security division, bringing the unit’s revenues to a €100m share of Ekco’s overall group top line of €200m (£174.7m).

The MSSP said the move will enhance its ability to address the convergence of IT and OT environments as customers face an expanding OT threat landscape alongside increasing regulatory requirements.

Datalogix’s team will join Ekco’s workforce of more than 1,000 people globally across Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands, Malaysia and South Africa.

MD Der Cremen and CTO Damian White will also transition to Ekco as part of the transaction.

“Having known Datalogix well for many years, we have always admired their highly specialised and client focused capabilities as trusted OT advisors in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and CNI markets,” said Steve MacNicholas, CEO of Ekco Ireland.

“Ekco’s world class expertise in security-first managed services and cutting-edge technology, this partnership is a perfect match and we are looking forward to growing and learning together.”

Cremen added: “Joining Ekco enables us to increasingly invest in and develop our OT capabilities to bring enhanced resources and resilience to our customers, backed by Ekco’s scale while maintaining the responsiveness they value.”

This marks Ekco’s eighth acquisition over the past three years.

In 2025, the company bought out Irish MSP Adapt IT.

It also made various investment across the UK, as it purchased Manchester-HQ cybersecurity consultancy Predatech in May and Bristol-based Solsoft in October.

Other takeovers include CTS, Bluecube, Radius Technologies and iSYSTEMS.
