Michael Herman has joined cybersecurity vendor Check Point Software as head of channels and alliances Europe, a month after departing Netskope.

He announced the move in a LinkedIn post.

“I am pleased to announce that I have joined Check Point as the new head of channels and alliances for Europe.

“Check Point is one of the world's largest and most respected cybersecurity companies, that has always prioritised a channel-first approach in their go-to-market strategy.”

The newly appointed European channel leader brings more than 33 years of experience at tech vendors.

Prior to his five-year tenure as VP of partner sales and ecosystems EMEA and LATAM at Netskope, which he assumed for five years, Herman held executive roles at organisations including Palo Alto Networks, IBM Global Technology Services, Cisco, Olivetti and Siemens.

The appointment comes less than a month after Check Point reported its FY25 financial results.

Total revenue reached $2.7bn (£2bn), a six per cent year-on-year increase from $2.6bn, driven by continued customer adoption across its Hybrid Mesh Network and Workspace platforms, according to CEO Nadav Zafrir.

Momentum was also supported by a series of acquisitions over the past 12 months.

Last quarter, the vendor bought out Cyata, Cyclops Security and Rotate, early-stage companies focused on AI security and MSP tooling.

In September, it unveiled plans to purchase AI cybersecurity start-up Lakera to strengthen its agentic AI security capabilities.

In May, Check Point entered into a definitive agreement to take over US-based exposure management start-up Veriti Cybersecurity.

Alongside these developments, the company has reshaped its leadership team across 2025.

In September, it hired Brett Theiss as CMO.

Two months earlier, it appointed Jonathan Zanger as CTO.

Moving forward, the group said it intends to focus on securing customers’ AI transformation strategies.

“We are focused on executing against our four strategic pillars, Hybrid Mesh, Workspace, and Exposure Management, while embedding AI driven security throughout our portfolio,” added Zafrir.
