Opengear inks first pan-European distribution deal with Ingram Micro
The agreement will expand the network resilience vendor’s reach across 20 European markets
Opengear has signed its first pan-European distribution agreement with Ingram Micro, expanding its reach across the continent.
The Digi International-owned vendor’s network resilience portfolio will become available through the distribution giant across 20 European markets from 1 October, subject to local availability and regulatory approvals.
The agreement builds on the US-HQ vendor’s existing presence in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium and Luxembourg, while extending its reach into additional markets including Switzerland, Hungary and Czechia.
Under the deal, resellers will gain access to Opengear’s out-of-band management portfolio, which allows IT teams to remotely monitor, manage and recover network infrastructure when the primary network is unavailable.
Ingram Micro will also provide pre- and post-sales support through its EMEA partner network, alongside training, accreditation, channel enablement and incentive programmes.
The agreement will allow existing Ingram Micro partners to add Opengear’s technology to their enterprise networking portfolios.
Alan Stewart-Brown, VP of sales for EMEA and APAC at Opengear, described the deal as a “significant milestone” in the vendor’s regional growth strategy.
“Ingram Micro gives us the regional scale to put Opengear products and expertise closer to our partners,” he said.
“That means increased regional availability, local support, and a simpler way to protect critical infrastructure across EMEA.”
The deal marks an expansion of the two companies’ relationship beyond the individual European markets where Opengear already operates.
Renke Kruger, executive director Pan Europe at Ingram Micro, said demand for network resilience is growing amid increasingly complex IT environments.
“Opengear addresses a growing need in today’s market: helping organisations to maintain resilient, secure and recoverable networks in an increasingly complex operating environment,” he explained.
“We’re proud to extend the reach of Opengear’s market-leading solutions across EMEA through our partner ecosystem.”
The announcement comes shortly after US-based distie Ingram Micro's net sales leapt 13.6 per cent to $14.5bn (£10.8bn) in Q2 FY26, with revenue increasing across all geographies.
Digi International, Opengear's parent organisation, reported revenue of $139m (£104.6m) in Q3 FY26, up 29 per cent year-on-year.
