Redsquid makes it three with WTL buyout

The acquisition will give the MSSP access to larger customer estates

Hertfordshire-HQ MSSP Redsquid has taken over WTL Ltd to boost its enterprise infrastructure and mission-critical support capabilities.

The deal reportedly diversifies Redsquid’s technology stack and provides access to larger, more complex customer estates, while broadening the services, scale and operational support available to WTL’s clients.

Founded in 1989, Birmingham-based WTL delivers services to enterprise environments across Oracle, Solaris, Linux and high-availability infrastructure.

WTL customers will continue to be served by the firm’s team while gaining access to Redsquid’s capabilities across cybersecurity, managed services, connectivity and workplace technology.

“This acquisition strengthens our ability to support customers across the infrastructure lifecycle and builds on WTL’s nearly 40 years of dependable delivery,” said Sohin Raithatha, CEO and co-founder of Redsquid.

“Alongside Redsquid’s continued focus on providing customers with the capability to scale and the stability needed to navigate an evolving market, WTL shares our commitment to long-term customer relationships, technical excellence and a people-first culture.”

Colin Higgins, MD at WTL, added: “Joining Redsquid gives our customers access to broader capabilities while retaining the specialist expertise and service they have come to rely on from our team.

“It provides the right platform for sustainable growth and long-term success, while continuing to support the people and customers who have been with us for many years.”

This marks Redsquid’s third deal of 2026.

In April, it bought out Partnership Education, its largest-ever acquisition.

In January, it took over Security Software Solutions to strengthen its public and private sector presence.

These transactions come as Raithatha told CRN in late 2025 that the company’s M&A activity would increasingly focus on larger opportunities.

“Will we do another ten deals next year? It depends on the opportunity,” he said at the time.

The MSSP also made a series of purchases throughout 2025, including CJAZ, Cyberseer, RedMosquito, Itek Systems Management, Computer Security Technology and Penstone Communications.

This expansion led the organisation to revamp its exec team.

Two months ago, Redsquid hired former Daisy Communications CEO Dave McGinn as chairman as it targets a group valuation of more than £250m.

The company also promoted Camilla Karm to group MD that same month.
