SoftwareOne completes Crayon integration to become one single identity
The 13,000-employee group is rolling out the rebrand across all markets
SoftwareOne today announces the completed transition of the Crayon brand into its own, creating an entity of 13,000 employees operating in more than 70 countries.
The rebrand, which began on 1 April, will be rolled out in phases across markets.
“This brand transition reflects that we are one global organisation committed to making technology matter for our customers, partners, vendors and teams,” said co-CEOs Melissa Mulholland and Raphael Erb in a joint statement.
“Under the SoftwareOne brand, we strengthen the value we deliver by helping clients optimise costs, accelerate growth and navigate complex IT environments.”
Ed Bell, UK country leader, added: “With our highly skilled local team and strong global partnerships with hyperscalers such as Microsoft, AWS and Google, we help organisations unlock the full value of their technology.”
The buyout of Crayon was completed in July, seven months after SoftwareOne confirmed it was in discussions to purchase the business for a combination of cash and shares.
Crayon chief exec Mulholland was appointed co-CEO alongside Erb upon closing of the deal.
The transaction contributed to SoftwareOne’s FY25 performance, with revenue rising 22.5 per cent to CHF 1.24bn (£1.16bn), up from CHF 1bn the year prior.
On a combined like-for-like basis, top line increased 1.4 per cent, driven by channel and services operation as well as growth across EMEA and APAC, which offset a decline in the Americas.
The firm expects mid-single-digit year-on-year turnover growth at constant currency in FY26.
Beyond the acquisition, SoftwareOne has also reshaped its leadership team over the past 12 months.
Following the departure of Rodolfo Savitzky in May last year, the firm appointed Hanspeter Schraner as group CFO a month later.
Nina Janorschke is also set to be promoted to chief HR officer, replacing Julia Braun.
While Bell joined as UK country leader from Bytes in October to support growth in the region.
SoftwareOne’s UK branch ranks number 77 on CRN’s Top VARs list.
