Ingram claims 3Par distribution first
Distribution giant claims to have clocked up more than £1m in monthly 3Par sales
Ingram Micro claims to have become the first UK distributor to have sold more than £1m worth of HP 3Par storage kit in a single month.
The distribution giant cited the investments it has made in its pre-sales, technical and professional service teams as the reason for its success.
The firm is the second distributor to have announced it is putting more resources into selling the utility storage vendor's products in the wake of its acquisition by HP last year.
Back in February, Ingram rival Avnet confirmed that it has assigned 55 staff to help push 3Par products through the channel.
Jon Bunyard, director of HP enterprise servers, storage and networking at Ingram, said the firm is confident that 3Par sales will continue to grow for the rest of the year.
"We have an incredibly strong sales pipeline on the 3Par products [and] expect to reach the next milestone before year end," he said.
"We are also seeing incremental opportunities and year-on-year growth across the HP enterprise product portfolio, especially on the networking side, driven by our overall enterprise products growth," he added.
