Infor revs up reseller recruitment engine
Software player hunts ERP and CRM partners to make a bigger splash in the manufacturing arena
Infor is hoping to woo ERP and CRM resellers as it looks to increase its number of UK partners by more than a third.
The predominantly direct-selling enterprise software outfit has made moves to court the channel in the past year, including the introduction of a formal partner scheme. The company has also demarcated which customers its in-house sales staff can and cannot target.
The vendor now plans to grow its 16-strong base of core UK partners by more than a third, with a focus on recruiting resellers selling into the discrete manufacturing sector.
Tim Szabronski, Infor's regional vice president for channels, UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa, said: "Manufacturing is leading the economic recovery in the UK, with sales of machine tools, viewed as an indicator of the health of the manufacturing industry, close to pre-recession levels, according to the Manufacturing Technologies Association.
"This growth, coupled with support from Infor in the form of industry-leading innovation, industry specialisation, market development assistance and competitive commission rates, provides great revenue opportunities for potential Infor channel partners."
