Insight confirms departing director duo will not be replaced
Ex-sales director Tony Brooker and IT services director Tom Nesbit have left the firm amid EMEA restructure
Reseller giant Insight has admitted two top directors who have recently left the firm will not be replaced amid an EMEA restructuring initiative.
The company confirmed its former sales director Tony Brooker and IT services director Tom Nesbit have left and CRN understands the pair departed in the last fortnight.
The duo's departure comes soon after long-serving EMEA president Stuart Fenton left the hotseat to pursue other business options.
Yesterday the reseller defended its decision to restructure its commission system among its Specialist Software Sales team and insisted its staff within the department were still happy.
Peter Richardson, Insight's senior vice president for human resources, said Brooker and Nesbit's recent departure forms part of a wider EMEA business restructure.
"Neither will be replaced in their respective roles," he said. "This is as a result of a restructuring across our EMEA executive team and geographic responsibilities.
"Both Tony and Tom held roles beyond just the UK and both contributed significantly to the continental growth of our Corporate and Solutions sales teams in their time with Insight."
In its recently announced third-quarter results, Insight expressed its disappointment in its EMEA performance as it posted an operating loss which stretched towards $4m (£2.5m) on sales which dropped five per cent.
