MSP Project Network in management buyout

New company created to be called Alto3 Solutions

Northamptonshire consultancy and managed services provider Project Network has been bought out by management for an undisclosed amount.

According to the newly hired services director for the new company, Nick Papé, the firm will now be known as Alto3 Solutions.

"We are very excited about the prospects. We have bought the skills and existing business from Project Network, but we add in a new management team and a new direction for the company. Together, we expect to drive strong growth built on excellent customer service," he said.

Existing contracts and agreements will be honoured in full by Alto3, he said, with the transition to the new ownership happening over the next few weeks. There would be "no discernible difference" to the customer.

The firm is a Microsoft, Citrix and VMware reseller, bundling in direct and white-label managed services as well as consultancy focusing on unified communications as a speciality.

He said the maturing of cloud computing and mobility was creating opportunities for companies such as Alto3, and that customers wanted better service levels than they were often able to receive.

"It is all opportunity for us," Papé claimed.

Project Network was formed in 1997 by Alan Vinton and Jim Davidson to tackle what they saw as a gap in the market around large-scale IT project management for Tier 1 services providers. Project management is still core to the Welford company's offering, but it has more recently diversified into technical consultancy and services.
