Distributor Hammer nails Dell OEM partnership

Hammer claims to have early reports of more than 100 design registrations

Distributor Hammer has announced it has secured a pipeline of several million dollars, three months after it was awarded international Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) rights for Dell's entire portfolio.

The storage and server distie, headquartered in Basingstoke, was selected to become a Dell OEM partner three months ago, and it now claims to have early reports of more than 100 design registrations.

Gerard Marlow, general manager of business development at Hammer, said: "We are thrilled to be reporting such fantastic figures after less than 15 weeks of partnering with Dell OEM.

"Their portfolio is the perfect fit for Hammer's dedication to storage, our bespoke server design capabilities, and our strong value-add ethos. We are investing in large future projects, and planning along the pipeline for a variety of different-sized ventures."

The Hammer and Dell OEM partnership serves more than 40 vertical markets, including telecom, industrial automation, medical and transportation and utilities.

Tim Pavlovich, partner programme director of OEM Solutions at Dell, said: "We are very happy to hear the great results that Hammer is achieving so soon after we made the announcement of our partnership in July this year.

"It is great to see Hammer's commitment to the Dell OEM business through training and certification of their sales force, as well as focus on Dell's latest enterprise technologies such as the next-generation server and storage solutions," Pavlovich said.
