Samsung teams up with Exertis with first B2B-only tablet
Distie gets exclusive rights to the tablet for six months
Exertis has been handed exclusive rights to distribute Samsung's first-ever tablet designed purely for the B2B market.
The distie claims the Galaxy Tab Active (pictured) – which it will sell exclusively for six months – will be popular in the health and education space.
During the summer, the consumer giant teamed up with Tech Data to push its tablets into the B2B space, but it claims its Galaxy Tab Active is its first to be designed just for enterprise users.
The device has "complete business functionality" and meets the needs of enterprise users working in the office or remotely, Samsung claims.
The vendor's vice president of Enterprise Business said enterprise-specific products serve business users best.
"The enterprise technology landscape has shifted dramatically, driven by the demand for devices that appeal to consumers while being able to cope with the challenging requirements of professional use," he said.
"We're excited to announce that the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is now available from our distribution partner Exertis, whose sector-specific proposition reflects our view that a tailored approach is key to differentiating within a crowded marketplace."
Exertis' head of devices said the news demonstrates the strength in his firm's relationship with Samsung.
"Samsung's choice of Exertis as its exclusive partner reinforces the value that Samsung sees in us as a distributor," he said. "This allows Exertis to develop a unique proposition for all sectors, particularly in education and health."
