Stevinson looking forward to Entatech role
Former sales director of VIP Computers is set to step in a commercial director after the departure of Jon Atherton last week
Entatech's new commercial director is looking forward to the challenge as he prepares to step into the void left by Jon Atherton today.
As CRN revealed last week, Atherton was celebrating his last day at the distributor after 22 years in the saddle, planning to take a well-earned rest.
However, CRN has learned that Dave Stevinson, who left VIP Computers in 2012 and set up his own analytics firm, is set to take the helm at Entatech on Monday.
Speaking to CRN, Stevinson (pictured) said: "I'm looking forward to the challenge very much and it is a real opportunity to lead the company. Entatech is primarily based around the pure distribution of hardware and software, so there are lots of extra services that we can add to it in the long term."
He admitted he had big shoes to fill and would spend some time getting to know the company, its staff and key stakeholders.
"Jon's been there a long time," he said. "I plan to keep things going and look for new areas to grow the busines into and meet the demands of the client base."
In a statement, an Entatech representative said: "Dave has extensive experience and is no stranger to Entatech. Dave has enjoyed a successful career in an Enterprise Performance Management Consultancy.
"With over 20 years’ experience of establishing, developing and reinvigorating UK and European channels for large global manufacturers, vendors and distributors, he brings a strong understanding of the UK channel and technology landscape. Entatech are delighted to benefit from his experience, and look forward with renewed optimism to continued growth within the channel."
