HDS appoints UKI managing director

Richard Bradbury joins having previously worked at SAS and EMC

Storage vendor Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has appointed Richard Bradbury as managing director for the UK and Ireland.

Bradbury joins from business analytics software firm SAS, where he was alliances director, and replaces Richard Gadd who has stepped up to become senior vice president at HDS.

Bradbury has previously held roles at EMC and software firm Parametric Technology Corporation.

"Hitachi Data Systems is leading the way in this space, helping customers focus on innovation and how today's complex data challenges can yield real growth," Bradbury said.

"I'm looking forward to helping set the next stage of vision in the UK."

Last month HDS UK's chief operating officer Lynn Collier told CRN that the vendor was looking to kick-start a partner recruitment drive in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

Speaking about Bradbury's appointment, Collier said: "We are thrilled that Richard is joining the team at a crucial time when our customers are looking to us to help drive innovation and growth in their sectors.

"Richard brings very relevant experience and we know he'll be pivotal in helping Hitachi Data Systems support its customers and reach its goals."
