Welcome to CRN's Women in Channel A-list 2019

Meet some of the women that make up the channel elite

In the same week that we announced details of our inaugural Women in Tech Festival UK 2019, we are proud to unveil the CRN Women in Channel A-list.

CRN's Women in Channel campaign last year was an effort to bring together the leading lights of our industry, both women and men, on an issue that affects us all: representation.

As anyone who has ever attended an industry event can testify, the IT channel does have a glaring diversity imbalance. CRN's own research found that 86 per cent of senior executives at the top 50 UK tech resellers are men.

Yet rather than hand-wringing or finger-pointing, we wanted to shine a spotlight on the inspiring individuals and company-led initiatives that have helped to address this issue. We strove to celebrate those in the channel who have been truly leading from the front to help it better reflect society at large.

I had the pleasure be an editorial judge for last year's awards, and was able to see first-hand the genuinely impressive quality of entrants.

CRN Women in Channel A-List 2019 is a roll call of female leaders in our industry who are supporting CRN's drive to champion best practice within this issue. It's a mixture of those who were shortlisted for last year's CRN Women in Channel Awards, and other prominent execs on our radar.

We hope that the A-List will be a welcome reminder of the quality of talent that the UK channel possesses, and perhaps serve as inspiration.

In May, nominations will re-open for this year's CRN Women in Channel Awards. Are you, or a colleague, going to be this year's trailblazer? The momentum that all of you who have been involved in this campaign have helped to build will continue throughout 2019.

On 17 September 2019, both CRN and Computing will host the Women in Tech UK Festival, bringing together decision makers in the channel and end-user community.

On behalf of the whole CRN team, I look forward to seeing you there.
