Softcat hits Dell EMC Gold status in Ireland
Reseller took first steps out of the UK with Irish office last year
Softcat has become a Dell EMC Gold partner in Ireland after opening its office last year.
The reseller is already a Titanium partner in its home market, but last year expanded internationally for the first time in its 25-year history.
Softcat managing director Colin Brown said: "The Dell EMC relationship has seen tremendous growth over recent years.
"I would like to thank Dell EMC for their continued partnership with Softcat and we look forward to working together moving forward to continue success within the Irish market."
Softcat opened its office in Dún Laoghaire, eight miles from Dublin city centre, last year and currently has 15 employees in Ireland.
Colm Greene, Dell EMC's channel sales director in Ireland, said: "Our partners extend and enhance Dell EMC's reach and power to do more for our customers. With that, we are pleased to partner with Softcat who have just achieved Gold Status in the Irish market for 2019. We look forward to working closely and strategically going forward."
Earlier this month Softcat announced an increase in gross invoiced income (previously reported as revenue) of 28.5 per cent, to £607.8m.
The reseller also announced plans to open its ninth office, in Birmingham.
