Inside Pure Technology Group's brand-new head office...

PTG plans to open new ‘state-of-the-art’ space in July after being acquired by Fulcrum last month

Pure Technology Group (PTG) is investing £1.1m into a brand-new head office with capacity for more than 250 employees.

The project, named One Roof, will be located in Holly Park Mills, Leeds, and will "accommodate PTG's future growth aspirations", the company says.

It will include new facilities including an on-site gym, theatre, social spaces, technical workshops and cafes - some of which can be seen in mock-up images shared with CRN.

Several resellers including Bechtle, SysGroup and CAE have all shared plans with CRN over the last few months to invest heavily in their office spaces as they anticipate a post-Covid return to normality this year.

On LinkedIn, Pure's COO Cliff Fox commented that the company is "doing the opposite to the market" by expanding its office space

"Doing the opposite to the market in terms of expanding commercial office space, but embracing hybrid working too. It's going to be a great place," he wrote.

"Our people are what really make our wonderful organisation," adds CEO Stephen O'Brien in a statement.

"A successful organisation doesn't happen without great people, but today's talent is looking for more than wages and perks. Flexible working, both in terms of location and time spent in the office, is increasingly varied for good reason.

"Providing employees with a flexible approach to their work-life balance helps them to work more effectively and gives better results for our organisation," he added.

The office is currently in the process of being built and is set to be launched in July this year, the company says.

Sustainability has also been a consideration in the design, with existing furniture being suitably re-purposed and refinished and new furniture manufactured using recycled materials from plastic litter retrieved from waterways.

Pure says it will "bring together teams and functions from both reseller and MSP parts of the organisation" and plans to host a three-day launch event once the project is finished.

The investment in a new office comes not long after the group was acquired by Netherlands-based tech investor Fulcrum.

Ranked #136 in CRN's VAR 350, the Pure Technology Group business grew turnover by 17 per cent 2020 hitting £39.7m.
