CRN Tech Impact: 'We want to be a net-zero carbon, IT channel leader' - Jigsaw24 CEO

From a giant cardboard cut out David Attenborough to the 'Jigsaw Tree', Roger Whittle has made the Apple reseller's HQ a shrine to sustainability. He invited CRN to take a look.

Jigsaw24 plans to become a net-zero carbon industry "leader", its CEO revealed during an exclusive interview for yesterday's CRN Tech Impact Summit and Awards.

With 2020 revenues of £130m and 350 staff, Jigsaw24 is the UK's largest Apple reseller.

But CEO Roger Whittle told CRN he also wants his company to take the lead when it comes to sustainable best practice as he took us on a whistlestop tour of its Nottingham HQ (see video, above).

Jigsaw24 is one of three leading UK channel partners CRN visited this summer to see how each is tackling sustainability (the other two being Computacenter [video here] and Softcat [video here]).

Jigsaw's head office features a cardboard cut-out of Sir David Attenborough and the 'Jigsaw Tree', as well as numerous other visual cues to inspire staff.

It is on course to become net-zero carbon "within the next few months", and to be powered 100 per cent from renewables by early 2022, Whittle said.

Taking climate action reduces costs, waste and risk, but also galvanises teams within a business, he claimed.

"People want to work for a company that's got a vision. At Jigsaw 24, we believe we've got a vision. We want to be a net-zero carbon, IT channel industry leader," he said.
