UK deal will see Distology add entire portfolio from cloud security vendor

Distology has added Menlo Security to its vendor line-up to bring its entire portfolio to the UK market.

Web and email security vendor Menlo Security was founded in 2012 and launched its first UK partner programme in 2017.

It claims to help IT and security professionals to eliminate cybersecurity threats through its Cloud Security Platform.

The partnership will give Distology rights to distribute Menlo Security's entire portfolio in the UK including Secure Web Gateway, Menlo Private Access for Zero Trust, Cloud Data Leak Prevention, Cloud Access Security Broker, Remote Browser Isolation and Email Link and Attachment Isolation.

Menlo Security's director of EMEA Channels, John Brown, said linking arms with Distology marks an "important milestone" in the vendor's European expansion plans.

"The UK will form the cornerstone of our EMEA growth, and we look forward to Distology becoming a key component of our Partner Ecosystem. We also value partners that can clearly and concisely articulate Menlo's Isolation-powered approach to security in a challenging and fast-paced threat environment," he said.

Meanwhile, Distology's chief product officer, Lance Williams, described Menlo Security's technology as a "game changer".

"Menlo Security is not your average web security company, as its Isolation Coreā„¢ extracts threats away from networks, giving businesses a super-simple way to protect people by making online threats completely irrelevant; wherever employees are, however they're working and whatever device they're working on. How Menlo Security does this is a game-changer and it's what we're going to really enjoy educating everyone on. It's a very exciting partnership and the Menlo team are incredibly passionate about what they do."

2021 was a big year for Distology. The security distributor received private equity backing from NorthEdge in March and made two big vendor signings in the shape of LogRhythm and Auth0. The firm also moved into a new head office in September after doubling its headcount.
