Chess acquires telecoms services provider TTNC as part of SMB market growth plans
TTNC provides cloud-based telecoms solutions and Chess claims the move will enhance its ‘small business customer experience’
Chess has announced the acquisition of telecommunications solutions provider TTNC - its second acquisition of the past six months.
TTNC provides cloud-based telecoms solutions to businesses, including services such as call management packages, cloud numbers, voice over IP services, SIP trunks, call tracking and bespoke telephone answering services.
The vendor's portfolio spans connectivity, cloud, digital and security solutions, business broadband, telephony, unified communications and professional managed services.
It bolstered its security solutions set in August when it acquired penetration testing services firm Armadillo.
The company said the rationale behind its latest acquisition is to enhance its "small business customer experience".
David Pollock, Chess founder and executive chairman, said: "We have ambitious growth plans and the acquisition of TTNC sets us up for a great start to the year.
"Small business owners are time poor so need a knowledgeable and efficient technology partner. The addition of The Telephone Number Company will further strengthen our capability to deliver end-to-end services to our small business customers through a fully digital experience."
And Mark Burcher, managing director and founder of TTNC, added: "I am delighted that TTNC is joining Chess at such a pivotal and exciting time in the industry.
"I've always admired how Chess is so passionate about their vision, culture and values, and how they continuously invest in their people, so finding a new home for the TTNC Team and TTNC Customers was an easy choice for me.
"The acquisition will create many opportunities for our people and customers, and I'm excited about the future."
