Park Place hires new channel leader with Telefonica, HPE background

Global datacentre and network optimisation firm, Park Place Technologies, has welcomed Ian Anderson as its senior director for channel sales in the EMEA region.

Anderson brings to Park Place over 30 years of experience in the partner ecosystem.

His career has encompassed various channel roles focused on IT infrastructure lifecycle solutions, including tenures at HPE and, more recently, Telefónica Tech.

With a background in working with and leading teams in both direct and channel spaces, Anderson's expertise aligns seamlessly with Park Place's go-to-market strategy, which relies on a direct and partner sales delivery model, the company said.

"I'm thrilled to be joining Park Place Technologies and I'm honoured to be leading their EMEA partner team," Anderson said.

"Park Place continues to deliver innovative services to the IT market, and it is this innovation, coupled with its range of services, that has positioned Park Place as the global leader in datacentre and networking optimisation."

His experience includes the distribution and launch of new products and services through the channel, as well as the establishment of strategic partnerships and alliances, all of which will strengthen Park Place as the company seeks to drive further growth with both existing and new partners in the EMEA region.

"Park Place enjoys partnerships and relationships across the breadth and depth of the channel partner ecosystem," Anderson continued, "and I am looking forward to taking these relationships further to enable partner growth and success, through market-leading services and the implementation of service delivery to customers."

Anderson's role will primarily focus on leading channel engagement to provide IT infrastructure lifecycle services.

These services span a comprehensive portfolio of IT infrastructure, including professional and managed services, network performance management and monitoring, as well as a core offering of hardware and OS support for storage, servers, and networking hardware.

This appointment follows Park Place Technologies' recent acquisition of Xuper Limited, an IT solutions provider based in Derby, UK.

As part of this acquisition, Xuper's chairman and managing director, Peter Grogan, announced his retirement.
