Westcon-Comstor to list Cisco solutions on AWS marketplace
Cisco’s cybersecurity, observability, networking and collaboration-focused software will now be available on the marketplace through the distie
Distribution powerhouse Westcon-Comstor is expanding its partnership with Cisco to list its solutions on the AWS marketplace.
The agreement means the distributor can now privately add Cisco's cybersecurity, observability and networking and collaboration-focused software products on the AWS marketplace.
Partners will be able to transact and serve end-user customers as part of an integrated, end-to-end sales process within AWS marketplace. This will accelerate transaction times, expand deal sizes, increase win rates and shorten sales cycles.
Cisco is one of the first software vendors to be formally announced as a participant in Westcon-Comstor's AWS marketplace programme, following the signing of the distributor's Designated Seller of Record (DSOR) agreement with AWS.
"The rise of cloud marketplaces is a defining tech trend of recent years, and AWS marketplace is at the absolute forefront of driving changes in end-user buying behaviour. Through this agreement we are enabling our partners to respond to these changes," Willem de Haan, exec VP at Comstor Europe & Comstor International told CRN.
"End-users are committing IT spend to AWS marketplace, and giving our partners a simplified and streamlined way of transacting Cisco products in the platform means they can take advantage of new growth opportunities while driving adoption of Cisco's solutions."
The news comes on the heels of Westcon recently acquiring AWS advanced service partner Rebura to boost its cloud capabilities and channel services.
