Vectra signs Westcon-Comstor for European expansion
The AI-driven cybersecurity vendor is hoping to expand in the UK, Ireland and Nordics with new distribution agreement
Westcon-Comstor is expanding its distribution partnership into the British, Irish and Nordic markets with AI cybersecurity vendor Vectra AI.
The global distie that boasts four UK offices hopes to drive adoption of Vectra's offering and create revenue opportunities for channel partners in these new regions.
The partnership builds on existing distribution agreements between Westcon and Vectra in Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Portugal and Benelux.
The announcement comes just as Vectra launched its MXDR service earlier this year, a technology that integrates with products from other Westcon vendors.
"Vectra AI is one of our key growth vendors so it's exciting to be broadening the scope of our collaboration to new markets within Europe," said Daniel Hurel, VP of cyber security and next gen solutions EMEA at Westcon-Comstor.
"We look forward to bringing Vectra's innovative, AI-driven portfolio to new addressable markets, driving growth for our partners through our value-added services and education and enablement programmes."
Jerome Jullien, VP of channel sales EMEA at Vectra AI added: "Westcon's security expertise and channel reach are crucial in our mission to empower end-users to proactively stop advanced attacks.
"Expanding this partnership means Vectra AI's detection capabilities reach new markets, benefiting customers and creating exciting opportunities for our channel partners."
Expanding reach
The news comes following Westcon's announcement of its partnership with Amazon Web Services promising to open new avenues for its partners and vendors.
The collaboration between Westcon-Comstor and AWS aimed to simplify and streamline the transaction process on AWS Marketplace, offering growth opportunities while reinforcing the channel's role in the rapidly expanding cloud marketplace economy.
Operating under the Designated Seller of Record (DSOR) programme with AWS, this agreement enables the distie to privately list its vendors' products on AWS Marketplace.
This means Westcon-Comstor can seamlessly share quotes with its network of 12,000 channel partners globally.
By leveraging the DSOR agreement, Westcon partners will be able to efficiently transact and cater to their customers within AWS Marketplace, ensuring a cohesive sales process throughout the supply chain.
This move is expected to accelerate the Channel Partner Private Offer (CPPO) motion, further enhancing the experience for Westcon's partners.
