AI firms join forces to help organisations navigate EU AI Act
Partnership sparks opportunity for channel to help enterprises meet new regulations for safe and trustworthy AI implementations
Ignition Technology and Cranium have announced a strategic partnership to assist organisations in complying with the recently introduced EU Artificial Intelligence Act.
The legislation, the first of its kind globally, aims to establish rigorous standards for the responsible and ethical deployment of artificial intelligence systems.
The collaboration between Ignition, a cybersecurity SaaS specialist, and Cranium, a renowned enterprise AI security and trust software provider, will offer European channel partners a value proposition tailored to the needs of European and multinational organisations.
By leveraging Cranium's Exposure Management Solution, the companies claimed security teams will gain unprecedented visibility into their AI ecosystems, along with tools and insights to take swift and precise action.
"Europe is leading the way when it comes to ensuring responsible and ethical AI implementation with the introduction of the EU AI Act," said Felix Knoll, COO/CRO and co-founder at Cranium.
"This presents new challenges for organisations deploying AI in terms of governance and compliance.
"However, it also presents new opportunities to innovate and create value. We needed a trusted European partner to leverage these opportunities, one with specialist security expertise, extensive partner reach and with proven go-to-market success.
"Ignition ticked all these boxes and we're delighted to be working with them."
Sean Remnant, chief strategy officer at Ignition Technology, echoed similar sentiments, stating: "Legislation can sometimes be seen as a blocker to innovation, but we see the new EU AI Act as a catalyst, providing the necessary frameworks and guardrails to ensure AI adoption across organisations is done securely, safely and responsibly.
"Our collaboration with Cranium will enable our partners to address the complex challenges of complying with this new legislation by providing their customers with visibility of their AI landscape, identify risk and deliver peace of mind. We're looking forward to a mutually beneficial relationship working with them."
In a related development, Cranium recently launched its EU AI Hub in collaboration with KPMG and Microsoft.
Based in Dublin, Ireland, the hub combines KPMG's Trusted Responsible AI Framework, Cranium's enterprise software platform, and Microsoft's AI technologies to create new tools and help developers and businesses navigate the compliance and complexities of AI implementation, providing organisations with the necessary solutions and insights.
As the EU AI Act sets a global precedent for AI regulation, this partnership between Ignition Technology and Cranium aims to position itself as a critical resource for organisations seeking to implement AI systems responsibly and in compliance with the emerging regulatory landscape.
Igniting AI
The news comes just as CrowdStrike expanded its partnership with Ignition Technology to bring the AI-powered CrowdStrike Falcon cybersecurity platform to Ignition's Nordic partner network.
Through this deal, Ignition's partners in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland will gain access to the Falcon platform, enabling them to consolidate vendors and prevent security breaches more effectively.
This partnership builds on the distribution agreement that CrowdStrike and Ignition formed earlier in 2024, focused on addressing the growing cybersecurity needs in the United Kingdom.
With this expansion, Ignition becomes CrowdStrike's second distributor in the Nordics region, alongside Westcon-Comstor.
