Trustmarque Group has tapped Smart/tasking managing partner Calvin Goom as CRO, effective today, 22 July.
Goom will report directly to CEO Simon Williams and will oversee the sales, marketing, and alliance divisions, spearheading the group's strategic growth initiatives.
He succeeds Donavan Hutchinson, who left the CRO post in March to pursue his DEI consultancy venture, D&A Services International.
"It gives me great pleasure to welcome Calvin to the Trustmarque Group.
"Calvin was a stand-out candidate during the recruitment process, with a combination of deep sector knowledge and extensive experience in driving sales transformation.
"His market knowledge and natural sales leadership expertise will allow our teams to deliver even more value to our clients," said Williams.
Goom's three-decade career spans both the vendor and service provider sides.
Prior to joining Smart/tasking in March 2023, he was senior vice president at SaaS fintech LeapXpert, where he established and led operations in EMEA.
Between 2003 to 2016, he held the role of managing director UK&I at DimensionData where he was a key member of the European executive team and the global leadership council, responsible for the overall strategy, execution, and performance of the UK&I business.
Goom's extensive experience also includes multiple board-level positions.
"I am looking forward to working with Simon and the leadership team as we drive ahead with Trustmarque's service-led approach and continue to solidify our customer collaboration.
"I am excited by the opportunity to improve profitability and increase market share with our talented public sector and corporate sales teams," he commented on his appointment.
