Didata beefs up Microsoft UC capabilities

Integrator hails the power of Office Communications Server 2007 R2

DiData has incorporated Microsoft’s Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2 to offer its customers more choice

Network integrator Dimension Data (Didata) has incorporated Microsoft’s Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2 into its unified communications (UC) offering.

Peter Menadue, group general manager of Microsoft solutions at Didata, said the move would give its customers more choice.

"Office Communications Server 2007 R2 is a powerful platform that builds on the solid base of Office Communications Server 2007 and allows for the creation of even better unified communications solutions," he said.

"It will form a key part of our unified communications offering and augment our ability to provide solutions that deliver these benefits.”

Betsy Frost Webb, general manager of Microsoft unified communications at Microsoft, said: “We at Microsoft are excited to work with DiData to enhance our customers’ experience and help foster better collaboration and productivity.”

Yesterday Didata announced it had acquired LAR Teksys for an undisclosed sum, to extend its Microsoft capabilities.
