NextiraOne ramps up Cisco services skills

Integrator joins ranks of partners holding Master certification

Top marks: NextiraOne has obtained three services-centric Cisco accreditations

Integrator NextiraOne has boosted its Cisco services pedigree with the attainment of a clutch of certifications, including the high-end Managed Services Master badge.

The pan-European VAR becomes the 22nd UK partner to bag the top-level services badge since its launch in June 2009. It took three months for carriers BT and Verizon Business to become the first UK companies to obtain the certification, and partners from all levels of Cisco's channel scheme have since been accredited.

Edison Peres, senior vice president of Cisco's worldwide partner organisation go-to-market group, said: “NextiraOne’s investment in Cisco Managed Services Master certification ranks it among an elite group of channel partners with the resources to deploy, manage and support services for multiple technologies."

The services certification has enjoyed far greater uptake than the Master badges in unified communications and security technology. After being launched in 2006, it was almost three years before a UK partner got the security thumbs-up. BT remains the only company to hold the certification, after being accredited in August last year. At that time it also became the most recent addition to the six-strong UK line-up of UC Masters, making it the only partner to hold all three badges.

NextiraOne has also confirmed its achievement of two certifications in the Cisco Powered services programme, focused on managed UC and managed security respectively.

Neil Moss, European marketing director at NextiraOne, said: “Cisco is a strategic partner and we share a commitment and approach to delivering high quality managed services for our customers wherever they are in the world. This latest recognition is a testament to our expertise delivering managed services through our Cisco-certified experts and our European network operating centre.”
