CybaVerse rebrands amid acquisition and evolving offering
The move also follows the closing of a £5m Series A funding round
UK-based cybersecurity specialist CybaVerse has announced a brand revamp, shifting from consultancy-led defence to platform-driven cyber operations.
The shift reflects what the organisation describes as a broader change in how security teams operate, moving from isolated defence roles to operational leadership embedded within the business.
The company supports this model through its CybaOps platform, designed to unify security operations into a single operating model.
CybaOps reportedly combines automation, orchestration and response capabilities with certification support, continuous monitoring, incident response and AI-driven insights to help security teams prioritise threats and act more quickly.
As part of the repositioning, the company has also formalised its Cyber Operator concept, a role focused on ownership and action rather than passive monitoring.
Acquisition and funds leading to the rebrand
The announcement follows a £5m Series A funding round in October.
Co-led by Pembroke VCT and Airbridge Equity Partners, with participation from Haatch and legal support from Culbert Ellis, the investment was intended to expand CybaVerse’s team and support the development of CybaOps.
The firm also secured an investment of over £1.1m in late 2024 to drive the development of CybaVerse AI, its SaaS platform.
M&A activity was another key focus for the UK business last year, as it took over SecureAck in June to boost its security operations platform.
According to the vendor, the buyout played a key role in the rebrand by giving CybaVerse greater control over alert ingestion, workflow automation and integration across different security tools.
“With SecureAck, we removed a major dependency,” said Oliver Spence, CEO of CybaVerse.
“It allowed us to accelerate platform development and give customers something they’ve been missing for years; a way to actually operate security, not just observe it.”
CybaVerse currently employs more than 40 staff and works with MSP partners across the UK.
Forward plans
The company noted that it is now focused on scaling CybaOps for MSPs and organisations seeking greater operational clarity.
“We’re not trying to add another dashboard to the pile,” Spence added.
“We’re building the operational backbone that security teams actually need.”
