SoftwareOne joins OpenAI Partner Network
The VAR will integrate OpenAI products into its existing AI, cloud, data, digital workplace and security practices
SoftwareOne has been named an OpenAI Select Partner to deepen its push into enterprise AI services.
The Swiss VAR has joined the OpenAI Partner Network, a global scheme designed for partners building, selling and delivering AI solutions using OpenAI technology.
The agreement will see SoftwareOne combine OpenAI products, including GPT-6 Astra and ChatGPT Work, with its existing capabilities across AI, cloud, data, digital workplace and security.
SoftwareOne said it will work with customers to identify AI use cases and move deployments beyond experimentation into wider adoption across their businesses.
“Being named an OpenAI Select Partner reinforces SoftwareOne’s commitment to turning AI ambition into business impact,” said Gudmundur Adalsteinsson, chief channel and ecosystem officer at SoftwareOne.
“Adding OpenAI to our agentic skill set sharpens our ability to advise customers on the right tools for every persona and workload.
“Combined with our expertise in cloud, data, and digital workplace transformation, we help organisations adopt AI with confidence and turn it into real competitive advantage.”
OpenAI joins an AI portfolio at SoftwareOne that already includes technologies from Microsoft, AWS and Google.
The VAR works with customers adopting Microsoft Copilot, Amazon Q and Google Gemini, alongside developing GenAI, agentic AI and customer-specific applications.
SoftwareOne said its AI services span strategy and advisory, data and AI platforms and digital workplace modernisation across sectors including public sector, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, retail and professional services.
It also plans to continue investing in AI skills and industry-specific capabilities, with FinOps and AI consumption costs another area of focus.
The announcement comes as SoftwareOne continues to position itself around AI, cloud and software lifecycle management following the completion of its acquisition of Crayon in July last year.
SoftwareOne said the combined business employs around 12,000 staff across more than 70 countries and serves over 70,000 direct customers.
The firm has argued that increasing adoption of generative and agentic AI is increasing demand for its advisory, optimisation and technology management services.
In H1 FY26, the organisation's turnover leapt 68.2 per cent to CHF 818.3m (£746.7m).
On an organic basis excluding the Crayon acquisition, top line grew five per cent year-on-year at constant currency.
SoftwareOne’s UK arm ranks number 77 on CRN’s Top VARs list.
