Tim Westbrook leaves Converge UK
The MD’s departure comes less than a month after the company was acquired by Inspirit Capital
Converge Technology Solutions UK’s MD Tim Westbrook is stepping down after eight years with the business.
“After eight incredible years at Converge UK, today marks my last day with the business. The right time has come to move on to other challenges,” Westbrook wrote in a LinkedIn post.
He added he will take a break before embarking on the next chapter of his career.
Joining the company in 2018 as group sales and marketing director, Wesbrook was promoted to chief sales and marketing officer three years later.
He became UK MD in January 2025, succeeding Simon Harbridge.
His replacement has not yet been disclosed.
Harbridge and Timothy Roberts were appointed as directors earlier this week.
Westbrook’s departure comes amid a channel leader upheaval.
CRN heard this week the UK IT channel is undergoing a period of unprecedented leadership disruption, with Robertson Sumner CEO Marc Sumner warning that more leaders will “lose their jobs this year than ever before.”
Westbrook’s news also comes less than a month after Converge UK was purchased by London-HQ investment firm Inspirit Capital, marking its separation from its Canadian parent.
The reseller said at the time the deal would support its next phase of growth, with plans to invest in its offering, expand its market presence and develop sustainable IT solutions.
“With Inspirit Capital’s support, we have a strong platform to accelerate our strategic ambitions, invest in our offering and expand our market presence,” explained Westbrook following the transaction.
The organisation added that operations would continue as usual for customers and partners, with the existing leadership team remaining in place.
Converge UK works with public sector organisations such as the NHS, the University of Sunderland, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and Fife Council as well as Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and supports them through digital transformation with a circular IT model across hardware supply, managed services as well as IT asset disposal and recycling.
The MD’s exit comes amid a broader period of change for the wider Converge group.
The Canada-based business was acquired by US private equity firm H.I.G. Capital in April 2025 and merged with Mainline Information Systems, rebranding as Pellera Technologies.
The company has previously been active on the acquisition front, including its £39.2m purchase of Stafford-based Stone Group in 2022.
Stone Group, which reported revenue of £162.4m, ranks number 26 on CRN’s Top VARs list.
