Antill now steering mobile cloud provider Sipcom
Second appointment for former Intrinsic chief on second channel board
Channel head for hire Darron Antill has been appointed by lead unified comms specialist Sipcom as "executive and director".
Only last week, Antill, most recently managing director of Intrinsic Technology, announced he had signed up as non-executive director for channel marketing agency FMXA. He is also chief executive of his own new company, Effectus Consultancy.
Other strings to his channel bow have included leadership of specialist security reseller Vistorm and virtualisation vendor AppSense.
Daniel Allen, founder and chief executive of Sipcom, said Antill's experience and skills were "unmatched". His role would be to help the firm grow locally and globally.
"His leadership, software and services enterprise experience fits perfectly with the next phase of our journey. In addition, his channel partner experience will certainly help us as we evolve our partner strategy," Allen said.
Darron Antill (pictured), executive and director at Sipcom, said Sipcom is a "focused" cloud specialist and service provider, with SaaS sales expanding exponentially over the past two years.
"In all my previous leadership and sales roles in software and services businesses, the role of the cloud delivery model has been evolving," he confirmed.
Europe and the US would be a focus for further expansion for the Microsoft Lync partner, with a focus on unified comms as a service and the mobile cloud.
