Misco nabs another ex-Insight exec

Tony Brooker enlisted as vice president for the UK

Former Insight EMEA sales boss Tony Brooker has followed his ex colleague Simon Taylor to arch-rival Misco.

Brooker started this week in the post of executive vice president for the UK at the reseller giant, Misco has confirmed, two months after Taylor was drafted in to head Misco's European business.

During a distinguished career, Brooker has worked at a string of top UK VARs, including SCC, Cancom, Insight and – most recently – Logicalis, where he was UK sales and marketing director. He worked alongside Taylor while he was EMEA vice president of sales at Misco's arch-rival Insight, where he spent six years between 2007 and 2013.

It is not the first time Brooker has been at Misco, as he was a sales manager at Systemax, Misco's parent company, in 1999 for a year, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Last September CRN revealed that Gary Withington, who held Brooker's post of UK and Ireland executive vice president at Misco, was exiting the reseller. Sue Keywood became UK general manager a month later.

A representative from Misco said Brooker started at Misco on Monday.
