SMART signs Westcon as new distribution partner

Vendor boosts go-to-market model

Network infrastructure and unified communications distributor Westcon Group will now supply products from videoconferencing vendor SMART Technologies throughout the UK.

Westcon will distribute the full range of SMART products including the SMART Board 6075 and the 84in SMART Board 4048.

Westcon Group's general manager, Gary Boon, said: "We are delighted to now represent the entire portfolio of SMART collaboration solutions in the UK. We have the inventory in place and are excited to support UK partners with SMART opportunities."

Canada-based smartboard vendor SMART boasted $431.3m (£305.2m) annual revenue for the fiscal year which ended in March 2015 and employs around 900 members of staff.

Neil Gaydon, CEO of SMART Technologies, said: "Our goal is to help our customers and partners be more successful, and we know what it takes to create a winning partnership. With this new model, we'll have a closer working relationship than ever before with our key stakeholders."
