UK IT asset recovery specialist teams up with global partner

Rotherham-based S2S signs deal with global ITAD Procurri

Rotherham-based IT asset disposition (ITAD) firm S2S is uniting with its global peer Procurri to recycle the UK's e-waste.

The agreement will see S2S dispose of end-of-life kit for lifecycle services specialist Procurri.

Singapore-headquartered Procurri has refurbishment facilities in Cirencester - headquarters of its European operations - and Warrington, as well as sales bases in Warwick and Wokingham. It will work with S2S to reduce the amount of IT equipment that goes to landfill in the UK.

Both firms are members of ADISA, an organisation which ensures the adherence and compliance to data protection standards. S2S also works with Leeds-based VAR Pure Technology to deliver its refurbishment and recycling scheme.

"We are delighted to be working with Procurri to promote the circular economy by helping to prolong the life of IT hardware," stated Grant Barton, CEO of S2S.

"We provide Procurri Europe with useful parts which other companies no longer need, and our ‘zero to landfill' policy will also ensure that end-of-life equipment they pass to us is put to good use in another form."

Raff Silano, operations director of Procurri Europe, added: "It is vitally important to us and our clients that end of life equipment is securely disposed of to ensure complete data protection. S2S have an enviable proven track record with a range of services which mirror our requirements for recycling/resale and repair, as well as a unique Covid 19 sanitisation process for home workers.

"Furthermore S2S have been able to source potential resale equipment for us from their clients, which we have purchased to add to our extensive inventory of re-usable stock to the benefit of our customers."
