Agilitas makes sustainability pledge with e-Ventory Charter

The announcement is part of the service provider’s sustainability pledge

Agilitas IT Solutions has unveiled its new inventory management service in its latest step to providing sustainability solutions across the channel.

The Agilitas e-Ventory Charter outlines the ways the company's services, operational, and internal initiatives contribute to this mission and support a circular economy.

It claims this includes its ‘Recycle, Rework, Reuse' model whereby in 60 per cent of cases, Agilitas is able to repair a faulty part to OEM standards ready for reuse.

"At Agilitas, we are fully committed to supporting the channel with solutions that Recycle, Rework, Reuse to extend the lifecycle of IT products and exceed targets for a more sustainable future," said Agilitas CEO, Shaun Lynn.

"Our vision is simple. To act with impact and build a more sustainable and healthy future for our planet, people and partners, working towards the UK's crucial ambitions for net-zero carbon emissions by 2050."

It added the charter also features its core Inventory-as-a-Service proposition, which provides a methodology where vendors can access an EOL supply chain that follows the strictest governance and inventory management policies.

Moreover, Agilitas said within its charter it has outlined its commitment to reducing its own carbon footprint through efforts such as automating some roles, using electric vans to transport inventory between its logistics hubs and minimising staff travel through a remote working for all policy.

The launch of the charter coincides with the announcement of the Agilitas Sustainability Pledge to create a circular economy that supports a more sustainable and healthy future.

Part of this wider commitment has included the appointment of Agilitas Compliance Manager, Deborah Johnson as the company's Head of Sustainability.
