Performanta CEO Guy Golan becomes chairman
The Maidenhead-based MSSP co-founder adds a third role to his job title
Performanta co-founder and CEO Guy Golan today becomes chairman of the MSSP.
Golan's full job title is now co-founder, CEO and executive chairman of the board.
The new chair explains to CRN the move is part of the cybersecurity company's strategy to shape the industry towards cyber safety and provide more insights related to its newly launched Safe XDR platform.
"Since our operations are now structured and working well, the timing is perfect. Beyond that, we would like to take Performanta to newer heights. We would need more cash to execute on our ambitions," says Golan.
"It will amplify the vision and the execution of our vision. So it won't change what we do but will increase what we do. We want to bring more Safe XDR clients and get them to talk to the sound of success – reducing attacks and risk, increasing business understanding and buy-in, while not increasing costs. The change will also allow us to become even more client centric and understand what clients want to become safer."
The launch of Safe XDR is another stage in Performanta's evolution.
The Beech Tree-backed Microsoft partner has changed dramatically in the last three years, from a reseller to a true MSSP with strong consulting capability.
Founded in 2010, it has a headcount of more than 180 security professionals with teams based in the UK, South Africa, North America, and Europe.
"Our automation is a masterpiece. To be able to automate 95 per cent of the incidents and keep clients happy, safe, collaborative as a single team and realising the value is the true evidence to that," Golan adds.
"Now, couple this with our great relationship with Microsoft and you have something that is even more special. A year and half ago we were not even on Microsoft's radar. Now they consider us as one of the top three partners. Having early access to Copilot allowed us to establish our innovation even more by bolting Copilot into our powerful automation playbook."
With the new title, Golan says he will maintain his role as the "custodian of the culture" of the ‘Purple Tribe'.
"While I ensure the vision is coming into life, the role would require of me to be more client facing and market facing while keeping our employees inspired through innovation and the achievements we are making."
