Nimans breaks £1m Siemens stock barrier
Telecoms distributor expecting German vendor's kit to fly off the shelves this year
Stock answer: Nimans has £1.1m worth of Siemens product on the books
Comms distributor Nimans is expecting a run on Siemens kit this year and has boosted its stock levels past the £1m mark to cope with the expected demand.
The Mancunian firm claims the sunnier economic outlook will fuel sales of the vendor's systems and handsets. Products singled out as potential big sellers include the HiPath 3000 SME-targeted PBX and the OpenScape Office unified communications software platform.
Yvonne Tierney-Neave, Siemens business manager at Nimans, said: “Market demand for Siemens technology is on the increase and we want to lay the foundations to help our resellers continue to grow, backed by award-winning levels of service. We have the buying power, stock capacity and foresight to react positively to changing trends within the industry."
Nimans now has £1.1m of Siemens stock and claims it is in a dominant position in the vendor's distribution channel. Tierney-Neave claimed products ordered up to 6.30pm could be delivered the next day. She added that kit could be sent in plain packaging, direct to end users.
“The message to Siemens resellers is that if they want stock, they can trust Nimans to deliver,” she said. ”Our logistics expertise is so strong that resellers do not need to have their own warehouse facilities."
