TechWyse eyes next stage of growth as AI momentum builds

After several years of steady expansion in cloud and security services, Hatfield, Essex-based MSP TechWyse is entering a new phase, seeking to incorporate blends of automation, AI, and a people-first growth strategy.

Speaking to CRN for our recent Fastest-Growing MSPs report, Vanessa Pedder, operations director at the MSP, said the company’s strongest gains this year came from helping clients modernise infrastructure and improve resilience.

“The biggest growth area for a few years has been cloud and security services,” she explains.

“But we’re now working with clients who want to explore AI efficiencies and longer-term strategic planning.”

AI, automation and security

That appetite, Pedder adds, has accelerated throughout 2025.

“The desire for our clients to embrace AI seems to be picking up pace now,” she says, reflecting a trend prevalent across much of the MSP sector as customers look for practical ways to deploy Copilot and other generative-AI tools without creating risk.

Alongside its automation toolkit, which includes Rewst and Copilot integrations, the company is now “starting to build a few Copilot agents” to extend value for customers. It’s a measured but ambitious roadmap that blends AI adoption with a human touch.

Security, meanwhile, remains a constant driver.

“The recent ransomware attacks in the news always highlight these issues with our client base and make them more receptive to allocating spend to more enhanced security,” Pedder notes.

A people-first operation

Internally, TechWyse has also been investing in people and process. The company recently added a new apprentice, part of a long-running scheme that sees a trainee join every 18 months. “Last year was focused on consolidating processes and automations to improve service quality,” she adds.

While the MSP has not made any acquisitions since its rebrand to TechWyse three years ago, it is actively scouting opportunities.

“We are following our growth plan and have this as a method of growing our client base,” Pedder says.

“We also recognise the value in the experienced engineers another MSP can bring to our team.”

On the wider wave of consolidation sweeping through the channel, Pedder offers a note of caution.

“I worry that you can lose the focus on people, colleagues and clients, if a company becomes too big,” she says.

“Business is all about people, and you need to work hard to keep that focus and the communication flowing.”

TechWyse’s own expansion remains grounded in that principle. The MSP still sees itself very much as a people-driven, family operation.
