Ekco strengthens Dutch footprint with Nijmko ICT takeover
This marks the Irish MSSP’s fifth acquisition in less than 12 months
Dublin-HQ MSSP Ekco has acquired Dutch ICT solutions provider Nijmko ICT to expand its presence in the Netherlands through enhanced local services delivery.
The company said the buyout will support organisations in their digital development, with a particular focus on security, compliance and cloud transformation.
The purchased firm’s clients will also reportedly gain access to a broader portfolio of cloud, security and managed services.
Nijmko’s two other branches, Nijmko Telecom and Nijmko Printing & Document Solutions, will continue to operate independently under their existing brands.
"With Nijmko ICT, we're adding an organisation with deep knowledge of digital workplaces and an exceptionally strong service culture,” said Jeroen van den Nouwland, CEO of Ekco Netherlands.
“Their focus on comprehensive solutions, reliability and local presence aligns seamlessly with how we help organisations work safely and productively."
Ronald de Vries, owner of Nijmko ICT, added: “Together with Ekco, we can further expand our services with additional security expertise and scale, while maintaining our down-to-earth, accessible and dedicated approach.”
The integration will take place over the coming months, with customers retaining their existing contacts and current appointments.
This deal marks Ekco’s fifth acquisition in less than 12 months.
Last week, it purchased Cork-based Datalogix to expand its operation technology (OT) capabilities across the UK, Ireland and the US.
This came after its takeover of Adapt IT in July, which added 37 employees as well as 300 SME clients across manufacturing, hospitality, retail, legal and finance.
In October, the organisation bought out Solsoft Group Limited to strengthen its footprint in the south and south-west of England, following its investment in Manchester-based cybersecurity consultancy Predatech in May.
Ekco also bolstered its UK leadership team by hiring Ben Savage as UK CEO in 2025, who told CRN that “M&A will remain a key part” of the firm’s strategy going forward.
Other deals over the past three years include CTS, Bluecube, Radius Technologies and iSYSTEMS.
