Solar power tops ShoreTel partners for fourth time

Chippenham reseller recognised among 500 other partners worldwide

Comms reseller Solar Communications has won ShoreTel's European Partner of the Year prize for the fourth year running.

Chippenham-based Solar was also the only European Shoretel partner to nab a spot in the vendor's Circle of Excellence – awarded to the top 10 partners globally each year – at its Champion Partner Conference in Chicago.

Mark Colquhoun, chief executive at Solar, said: "We are all absolutely delighted.

"The conference was attended by over 500 other ShoreTel partners from around the globe, so to pick up all these awards again is testament to the excellent work that our team is doing and the superb customer service levels that we strive to achieve and maintain."

The top 10 partners are listed in recognition of their outstanding customer service, product knowledge and sales capability. ShoreTel awarded Solar a 95 per cent-plus rating for customer satisfaction throughout the year.

About 40 prizes were presented.

According to Colquhoun, 23-year-old Solar has seen a period of rapid growth over the past four years – it has tripled its turnover, almost doubled the number of employees, expanded its head office and opened a second office in Fleet Street, London.

It specialises in UC technologies for verticals such as healthcare, legal, education and travel.
