Bush Telegraph and Atia win at Swyx event
Telecomms vendor acknowledges UK reseller success
Telecommunications vendor Swyx handed out two top prizes to UK resellers recently at its Channel Update event at Stockley Park.
Atia Communications was voted Reseller of the Year, and Cornwall-based Bush Telegraph won the Best Newcomer Award for 2011. (Pictured above: Bush Telegraph's Kevin Barker receiving his prize from Swyx's Ralf Ebbinghaus).
Simon Mitchell (pictured, receiving his prize, below), director of Wales-based Atia, said his company had won the prize from Swyx before.
"We are delighted to have been named Swyx reseller of the year once again," Mitchell said. "The award particularly reflects the hard work and diligence of our projects and support teams throughout 2011."
According to Swyx, which focused on unified communications for the SMB, about 50 partners attended the event, which also played host to several product announcements.
Mark Russell, director of operations for Swyx UK and Ireland, said the company is looking forward to a good year, especially for unified communications.
"Bush Telegraph, for example, demonstrated how quickly opportunities can be realised, in just a few months of becoming a reseller," he claimed.
