Micro-P welcomes new UC sales chief
Mark Weaver tasked with developing distributor's UC channel strategy
Micro-P is looking to develop its unified communications (UC) channel strategy with the appointment of a new UC sales manager.
Mark Weaver (pictured), who will lead the communications sales team, joins the distributor from marketing and data solutions provider LBM, where he headed up the BT and Vodafone teams.
Weaver is tasked with developing the business and helping resellers build up their convergence-based solutions businesses.
On his appointment, Weaver said he was impressed with Micro-P's investment in its communications distribution business.
He said: "I quickly established that Micro-P is a company in significant growth.
"It was clear it is investing considerable time and resources into building the leading communications distribution business. Convergence is the core message at Micro-P; it is a huge selling point across several business units and we have the support and services wrap in place for resellers to grow their business."
Micro-P's general manager for communications and networks Gavin O'Shea said that Weaver's experience in communications and product expertise will enable him to develop the distributor's UC strategy to the channel.
