Pragma launches '30-30' finance deal on Ericsson-LG kit
Scheme designed to help partners loosen purse strings in SMB and mid-market
Distributor Pragma is aiming to unlock more deals for its resellers with the launch of a zero per cent finance scheme for Ericsson-LG kit.
Although Pragma is working on several variants, the core scheme is a "30-30" proposition, meaning the customer stumps up 30 per cent for the tin upfront, with the remainder paid over a 30-month period at a zero per cent interest rate.
Bankrolled by finance house CIT, the programme is available exclusively to Pragma's base of about 85 reseller partners.
Pragma commercial director Will Morey said the scheme is aimed at SMB and mid-market customers with five to 200 seats, adding that 70 per cent of the project must be provided by Pragma.
The distributor has also integrated the zero per cent scheme into a trade-up programme targeting existing Ericsson-LG customers with aggressive discounts.
He said: "Ericsson-LG is incredibly reliable so we still have customers that have systems that were installed in the mid-90s, late-90s or early-2000s who – because of the shift in technology – now see the benefits of moving to the latest technology.
The finance campaign is also backed with marketing collateral including web banners, email shots and PowerPoint presentations.
"Delivering a programme such as this is not just about the headline, but giving resellers the tools to drive it," Morey explained.
In a statement, Neil Moseley, IT and telco channel manager at CIT Vendor Finance, said: "We see great opportunity in working with the Pragma channel and to support the rapid growth Pragma resellers are seeing with Ericsson-LG technology."
