Southampton science park approves Colva IT as supplier

Home site adds Colva to list of approved services providers

Colva IT has joined Backbone Connect, Silver Lining Convergence, and Vostron as supplying partner to the University of Southampton Science Park.

According to Ashley Fernandes, director of Colva, the company has become the fourth ISP aimed at giving Science Park tenants choice in their connectivity and IT.

"As an independent IT services company, we provide innovative products aimed at improving our customers' business objectives. We're looking forward to rolling out our client-focused solutions and excellent customer service to businesses here," Fernandes said.

Colva is based at the park itself in Epsilon House. The University of Southampton is also home to the research-focused IBM supercomputing cluster Iridis 4 (pictured), one of the largest and most powerful such computational facilities in the UK.

All Colva's offerings – covering a full range of IT requirements including internet connectivity, hosted VoIP and telephony, hosted email and Lync, managed print, infrastructure, datacentre, software asset management and desktop hardware – are tailored to suit the customer business.
