Unify says half its product sales generated by channel

Vendor says it is close to achieving its goal of becoming 'partner of choice' in comms space

Unify is well on its way to becoming the "partner of choice" for the comms channel, its CEO said as it kicked off its annual global partner conference in Barcelona.

John Pritchard, who was promoted to CEO of Unify in February two years after joining as channel director, said at the summit that 50 per cent of all Unify products are sold through partners, in line with his stated goal to shift sales from direct to indirect.

"Two years ago we put the industry on notice that we intended to be the partner of choice for the communications and collaboration industry," Pritchard said.

"Today I can say that we have built a world-class programme with the best partners in the space, so we are well on our way to achieving that goal."

Unify renewed its commitment to the channel following its takeover by services giant Atos in November

Global partner numbers have more than doubled to 2,000 in the past year, with 13 new distributors added, the vendor claimed.

And in the six months since it made certifications available for Circuit, its new next-generation platform, more than 370 partners have begun offering it to their customers, the vendor added.

This week's summit will see the launch of new tools and programmes for partners, as well as enhancements to the partner programme, Pritchard promised.

"With our partners this week in Barcelona, we will share more about how we continue to enhance our business to drive greater business to our partners, and work with them to explore further improvements we can make to fulfil our mutual growth aspirations," he said.
